Bulgasal Metal Fest is a Swedish metal festival based in Västerås, making its debut on August 30–31, 2024. Born from a passion for extreme metal, the festival has grown into a celebration of the wider metal scene, bringing together different subgenres, artists and fans.

With raw riffs, powerful performances and a strong sense of community at its core, Bulgasal is more than just music. It's a place where fans and bands come together to share their passion for metal.

Founded by Suzette Kim, Bulgasal was created to give metal a stage at a time when venues are disappearing and bands are struggling to be heard. From emerging underground acts to established names, the festival strives to create opportunities for artists and bring people together through music.

As Bulgasal enters a new chapter in 2027, the festival continues to grow, embracing a broader range of metal while staying true to its roots.

In autumn 2025, Bulgasal transitioned from a nonprofit association to become part of Kizune Entertainment AB, marking a new chapter in the festival's development. Today, Bulgasal is part of the Kizune family, with a stronger foundation for future growth and new creative opportunities.

As Bulgasal enters 2027, the festival continues to evolve, embracing a broader range of metal while staying true to its roots.
